Val Mobagi holds state trophy

Westonka DECA made a strong impression at the 2026 State Career Development Conference, held March 1-3 at the Hyatt Regency in Minneapolis. Westonka sent a school-record 168 students to compete, and following an exceptional showing, 47 students are headed to the 2026 International Career Development Conference (ICDC) in Atlanta.

Shirley Hills Students and Staff Dressed in Food Themes to Stuff the Bus for the Food Shelf.

Despite the drizzly and foggy weather on March 6, students around the Westonka School District eagerly headed outside with hundreds of food items they collected for the Westonka Community Food Shelf at the annual “Stuff the Bus” event. A school bus stopped at each school, where students stuffed the bus with food and cash donations collected during the March FoodShare Drive.

Students on Stage Rehearsing Clue: High School Edition

Westonka High School Theatre is proud to present “Clue: High School Edition” in the Westonka Performing Arts Center on March 13-15. It’s a dark and stormy night, and we’ve been invited to a very unusual dinner party. Each of the guests has an alias, the butler offers a variety of weapons, and the host is, well, dead. So, whodunit?

Football Players in Jerseys with their Favorite Books

Even though it’s the off season, members of the White Hawks football team donned their jerseys last week for visits to Hilltop and Shirley Hills primary schools. February is "I Love to Read Month," so the players took the opportunity to celebrate the importance of reading by visiting pre-K through fourth grade classrooms to read books to the young students.
