WHS Vocalists Perform with All-State Choir

Three students from Westonka High School’s Concert Choir completed their All-State Choir experience on February 14 with a performance at St. Michael-Albertville High School. Seniors Cerisa Bray and Hannah Christenson and junior Wade Sturlaugson began their All-State adventure last August, when they spent a week rehearsing for a concert for families and music educators.
The All-State Choirs, sponsored by the Minnesota Music Educators Association (MMEA), bring together 250 vocal music students from across Minnesota, who are selected from over 2,000 students who auditioned.
“Congratulations to these All-State singers,” said choir director Kelly Newell. “They worked so hard!”
